Q

I'm a complete beginner, do you only teach professional singers?

Not at all! I strongly welcome anyone who is new to singing lessons, regardless of their experience with vocal training - it's the most fun! I have a vast experience in working with many different clients all of different backgrounds with their singing technique. My lessons are a safe space to explore and improve your voice without judgement. All ages are welcome.

Q

Do you work with international students?

Yes! I love to work with international clients. My working hours are British Standard Time so please book in via my booking page - please note English speaking only unless a translator is present with you.

Q

What will the first lesson be like?

I always begin my lessons with an informal chat to get to know you, to find out what your goals are and what you are hoping to achieve, whether that be improving vocal technique, a specific song, getting into a drama school, audition prep etc. My lessons are a collaborative experience and as a team we will work together with 0 judgement and a total permission to fail zone! It's important as a singer you feel comfortable and I pride myself on always holding a relaxed and supportive space. Understanding your goals and concerns I can then tailor your lessons for YOU. I will then lead a vocal warm up where I will be able to hear the type of voice I'm working with. I then ask my clients to bring a song that you enjoy singing or if it's material you want to work on then our vocal journey begins from there! Please note I won't be able to accompany you so please have a separate device with backing tracks ready to use.

Q

What equipment will I need for lesson?

Please have a device with a camera and microphone, I strongly advise for audio quality using a computer / laptop. Please ensure your wifi connection is strong as buffering and loss of connection can disrupt lessons! Having a secondary device that can play tracks to sing along with is also very helpful. I use Microsoft Teams for my lessons so please have the latest update downloaded. You will be sent a Teams link after booking. If we are working on a specific song I ask you to bring a notebook / lyrics to annotate with our notes regarding technique, placement, breathing, character arc etc. A bottle of water and a vocal tube!

Q

What days do you teach?

A All lessons are currently online. I am extremely flexible and can cater to your schedule however, due to high demand I strongly suggest booking in advance to secure your lesson. You can book and see my availability via calendly on my Booking page. I understand sometimes things come up last minute, so if there is an emergency lesson needed for a specific cause, then please do email me and I will always try and accommodate.

Q

Do you recommend songs?

Yes! I adore finding a song for each voice I work with. It gives me great to joy to pick from my extensive knowledge of all genre repetoires. Alternatively, I regularly work with clients on specific material they have... be that an audition song, occasion song or a song they wish to improve.
